Strength in diversity: EPIC-X welcomes seven new Ecosystem Builders
Brussels, 14 May 2025
SERN, Start-up Europe Regions Network
The EPIC-X project continues to grow its impact and reach across Europe by welcoming seven new Ecosystem Builders from Spain, Bulgaria, Estonia, Croatia, Malta, Latvia, and Greece. This expansion reflects EPIC-X’s strong commitment to building an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing innovation ecosystem—particularly in support of women-led deep tech startups.
By joining an already dynamic consortium, these newly added organizations increase the network to 16 ecosystem catalysts. Together, they form a more cohesive and geographically balanced alliance, with a focus on bridging the innovation divide between Europe’s leading and emerging innovation regions.
The onboarding of these new partners is more than just an expansion in numbers – it’s a strategic move aligned with Work Package 1, which focuses on activating local innovation ecosystems, identifying region-specific opportunities through smart specialisation strategies, and building cooperation frameworks that elevate women entrepreneurs in deep tech sectors.
Each new Ecosystem Builder has been selected for their deep ties to their regional innovation landscape, their strong track records in supporting startups, and their role as catalysts for local innovation within the EPIC-X framework.
